Reducing Co2 emissions is a key objective of our proposal. Producing and using clean energy keeps costs down. Taking energy efficient decisions early contributes to long term sustainability of the community centre, the local environment and likely our planet.
Immediate: * Renovate Kitchen/Dining areas
* New adult disabled Toilet
* Nursery wing isolated
* Units / Office conversion
* Solar Photovoltaic cells on roof
* Water collection for loos
POOL CAR HIRE
Covered outdoor play area for children with physical needs
* Longer-term view to provide weekend activities for families and children who have extra or special needs
Soft Play Area: 1-7 yrs New Build
Heritage Project: Re-discover the vaulted wooden ceilings throughout
LOCAL Affordable Housing: 2 - 3 homes for "live and build" community land trust model Removal of porta cabins for carpark relocation (Note: Depends on the business plan)
This could be teamed with vocational skills training. Building, plumbing, landscaping. (Mentoring with "neet" young people and/or young people in danger of exclusion) Neet = Not in Education Employment or Training
