Lord Rowe-Beddoe says... "It is very important to maintain as part of our heritage an excellent example of Victorian architecture and building, but its intended use as a community centre will not only significantly improve the fabric of the physical environment but also the social fabric of our community".

NEWS FLASH (Dec '07/Jan '08)
FUNDING RECEIVED FROM UnLtd [A COMPANY WHO BACK SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURS] has attracted  professional assistance to build the Business Plan and secure Surveyors go-ahead. It also presented an opportunity for ACC Ltd to raise local awareness of the campaign by making a film which will have a signficant role to play in taking the message wider.

MAY 6 2008  "Voices of Abergavenny" ~ when it's gone, it's gone  (23 mins)
90 people attended an open meeting in Mulberry House  to watch the film "VOICES OF ABERGAVENNY"
The film gathers together in one place the
essence of what occurs socially when change is given full reign.
By focusing on the social requirements of communities of people, the film points viewers to consider the potential, and the difference, that community-ownership of  the Park Street site could make to the fabric of society - both in the immediate, but looking out to those generations yet to come.
(June: Edits to existing film will be made before the film is publicly announced)

JUNE JULY AUGUST SEPTEMBER OCTOBER
Voices of Abergavenny has an important role to play locally. The FINAL version of the film will be posted on MONTV website so others can be guided to the film.
DVD's will go to all local groups and organisations. A presentation by Abergavenny Community Centre Ltd will accompany the film locally.

The decision will be made when we feel it is the right time to take our case to GRANT MAKING TRUSTS.

The Local Authority are being kept in the loop.  ACC Ltd have no political alliance.
